Trusted Circles

The room where you can bring the real problem.

Six to eight vetted peers, matched by life stage and net worth. A professional moderator in the room. Full confidentiality required.

Wealth creates decisions most people around you haven't faced.

Selling a business. Deciding when to step back. Getting a second opinion on an advisor's recommendation. Trusted Circles bring together peers who understand the financial and personal context because they're working through the same stage of life.

Honest perspective is rare

Most people in your life have some stake in what you decide. Your Circle has none. That changes what gets said.

You don't have to start with the backstory

Members are matched by life stage, net worth profile, and goals. The group already understands why decisions at this stage get complicated.

Confidentiality changes the conversation

Complete confidentiality is a formal program requirement. Members bring the real problem, the actual numbers and concerns they wouldn't raise in a broader forum.

Foundation

The only room where nobody wants your money.

No one has a commission motive or a service to sell. When a member shares what they did, or what they'd consider, it comes from experience rather than financial interest. The same six to eight people meet month after month, building the context candid discussion requires.

The process

How it works

Three steps. Membership and circle matching happen in one flow.
Step 01

Matched into your circle

Complete a short financial and personal assessment. We match you by life stage, net worth, goals, and what you're working through right now.

Step 02

Monthly meetings — online and in person

Three hours a month on a fixed cadence via Zoom. Meetings open with member updates before the group goes deep on one or two current issues. Optional in-person Trusted Circle Destinations are available for groups ready to go deeper.

Step 03

Confidential space for real dialogue

No advisors, no salespeople, no one with a commission motive. A structured program arc, foundations, workshops, annual reflection, that earns depth over time.

Differentiators

What sets it apart

Most peer groups exist to network. This one is built for something harder: honest conversation about the decisions that matter.
Financially fluent facilitation

Every Circle is guided by a trained moderator who is also a financial professional. They keep the conversation productive and understand the substance behind complex financial questions.

The same group over time

Members learn how each person thinks, what they value, and what's changed since the last meeting. That shared history makes each conversation more useful.

Built for depth

Foundational sessions, member-led workshops, and annual reflection provide structure while keeping the discussion focused on what matters to the group.

Al Valvano

FAQs

Common questions before you apply.

How are Circles matched?

Members complete a financial and personal assessment covering life stage, financial profile, goals and current priorities. We use that to match people whose circumstances and experience will make the conversation relevant. Members can request a change if the initial match isn't right.

What commitment is required?

Circles meet once a month for three hours via Zoom. Participation requires a minimum twelve-month commitment. Attendance at the first two meetings is mandatory, since those sessions establish the context and trust the group needs.

What does Trusted Circles cost?

Long Angle is free to join. Members who choose to participate in Trusted Circles pay a separate fee of $4,500 per year, which covers professional moderation, program design and organization.

Can I experience the format before committing?

Long Angle regularly offers a one-hour facilitated Preview Experience, capped at 50 participants, with no obligation to join a Circle afterward.

Does a Trusted Circle replace my advisors?

No. Advisors provide professional expertise and execution. Trusted Circles provide lived experience, context, and comparison from peers who've faced similar decisions. Members should keep consulting the appropriate legal, tax, and financial professionals.

Find the Circle that fits the decisions in front of you.
