Community Guidelines
In order to foster a vibrant and constructive community, we ask all members to follow the below guidelines when interacting with Long Angle members. Any member in violation of these guidelines will be removed from the community.
1. Maintain Confidentiality
Community members highly value their privacy and share experiences and expertise in the trust that their privacy will be respected. Similarly, Long Angle promises outside experts and deal sponsors that their information will be treated with discretion. The identity of members, content of discussions, and information regarding deals or deal sponsors must not be shared outside the community.
2. No Solicitation
Long Angle aims to foster a “safe space” for authentic relationships and unbiased peer insights. Solicitation of any kind is strictly prohibited, ensuring members can interact without feeling pressured by sales or promotional activities. For full details, please refer to the updated No Solicitation policy below.
3. Long Angle SPV Offerings Only
Members may only participate in investment opportunities through Long Angle that are shared and vetted by the Long Angle Investments team. This approach ensures transparency, alignment with Long Angle’s purpose, and equitable access for members. Members may not circumvent SPVs to gain direct access to underlying investments unless they have a pre-existing relationship with the manager or gain Investment Team approval for specific circumstances.
4. Respect and Positivity
Long Angle is built on respect, trust, and shared values. Members are expected to engage thoughtfully and respectfully, even when they disagree. Personal attacks and questioning others’ motives are not acceptable. Avoid divisive topics like politics or religion unless discussing policy impacts. Always respect others’ personal space, both physically and emotionally, especially at in-person events.
5. Use Real Names & Photo
All members are required to use their real names and identities within the community. This transparency enhances trust and the quality of discussions, reinforcing the authenticity of Long Angle interactions. Please do not use any company logos, ads, or images depicting any person other than yourself.
Solicitation & Professional Conduct
Effective January 2026
Our no-solicitation policy protects Long Angle as a confidential, unbiased space focused on peer insights and authentic relationships. Members should not use the community for sales or financial gain, and no one should feel pressured to buy products or services.
No Solicitation:
Solicitation is defined as any direct or indirect attempt to promote or sell goods, services, investment opportunities, or any other commercial venture to Long Angle members. This includes, but is not limited to:
Direct Messages: Sending messages that promote services, products, consulting, investment opportunities, or businesses, whether through the Long Angle platform or by contacting members on other platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X, email, etc.).
Discussions & Links: Initiating discussions, asking questions, or sharing links, content, or resources with the intent of driving business, generating leads, or promoting a commercial interest.
Promotional Content: Posting promotional content in forums or discussions, including advertisements, business opportunities, services, outside events, charities, fundraisers, or similar initiatives.
Unsolicited Recommendations: Sharing unsolicited recommendations. Recommendations are only permitted when a member has specifically requested them and should be relevant and free of any commercial interest or affiliation.
Lead Generation: Using the platform to generate leads, build a customer base, harvest contact information, or otherwise develop business relationships.
Seeking Clients or Capital: Seeking customers, clients, paid referrals, capital, donations, or participation in investment, wealth management, advisory, accounting, insurance, real estate, or any other professional services.
Personal Media & Content: Promoting personal media or content platforms, including newsletters, Substacks, blogs, podcasts, or similar projects, including requests for feedback, subscribers, or support.
Surveys & Research: Requesting that members participate in surveys, interviews, or market research related to your business or commercial interests.
External Links: Unsolicited links to external product or service offers are not allowed. Value-driven resources like blogs or newsletters may be shared when relevant and non-promotional.
Veiled Solicitation: Indirect promotion of a business, service, or investment opportunity through subtle means, such as showcasing expertise, name dropping, or offering unsolicited help with commercial intent, is subject to the same restrictions as direct solicitation.
If you identify an interesting investment opportunity, please feel free to share with investors@longangle.com, who will put it through our standard investment review process.
Professional & Respectful Communication
Members must communicate in a respectful and professional manner at all times. Thoughtful disagreement and differing perspectives are welcome and encouraged. However, all interactions must remain constructive, courteous, and aligned with the spirit of a trusted peer community.
The following are not permitted:
Engaging in political discussions, advocacy, campaigning, or debate, including content intended to promote, oppose, or influence political views, candidates, parties, legislation, or public policy.
Negative, hostile, inflammatory, or disrespectful language toward other members.
Name-calling, personal attacks, or derogatory remarks.
Condescending, dismissive, or demeaning tone.
AI-generated content.
Permitted Knowledge Sharing:
Long Angle encourages members to act as resources for one another by sharing their knowledge and experience, keeping in mind the above definition of solicitation. This includes:
Responding to requests for recommendations or advice.
Connecting with members organically based on shared interests or professional backgrounds.
Offering expertise and insights relevant to ongoing discussions.
Ensuring that shared knowledge does not include any form of self-promotion, whether responsive to a post or not.
Avoiding references to any product, service, business, investment opportunity, or venture in which you have a personal or financial interest, even if it appears relevant to the discussion.
If you identify an interesting partner for Long Angle to explore, please contact premier@longangle.com to propose a formal relationship via our Premier or Partnerships programs.
Transparency and Disclosure:
To maintain transparency and trust, members must:
Disclose their professional background and expertise when relevant to a discussion.
Openly acknowledge any potential conflicts of interest when engaging in conversations.
Reporting Violations:
Reports can be submitted anonymously through the platform tools, by directly messaging a member of the Long Angle team, or by emailing support@longangle.com. All reports will remain confidential, and we’ll follow up to let you know the outcome.
No Data Scraping or Content Harvesting:
To protect the privacy and integrity of our community, members may not scrape, copy, systematically collect, or download member information, discussions, or other content for external use. This includes using automated tools, manually compiling content at scale, or using AI to scrape, collect, or extract member data or community content. Excessive viewing, monitoring, or harvesting of member profiles, posts, or discussions for purposes outside of genuine community participation is not permitted.
If we detect behavior that suggests data scraping or misuse of community content, we will restrict or remove your access.
Moderation Process:
Long Angle reserves the right to enforce and improve the No Solicitation Policy as needed to protect the purpose and values of the Long Angle Community.
All decisions regarding solicitation content, including posts, direct messages, emails, or any other communication between members on Long Angle, will be reviewed and determined by the Long Angle Member Moderation Committee, made up of trusted and upstanding members of the community. The Committee reserves the right to remove, edit, or relocate content as needed.
Consequences:
Members violating our policies will be removed from the community.
Policy Review:
This policy will be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure it remains relevant and effective in fostering a thriving community.
